A day full of firsts!

Olivia, Lauren, Sofia, Maisie and Juliette competed for the first time in the Under 8 Rotherham invitational despite only being under 7 and under 6.

Juliette – super straight jump on to the vault.
Maisie – managed her back hip circle which she has only just learnt to do.
Olivia – showed excellent control on her bar dismount.
Lauren – worked really hard to get her handstand on the floor.
Sofia – worked along the beam like it was a motorway.

Sticking the beam, dancing round the floor, controlling the swing on bars and bounding onto the box. A whole bucket full of experience gained, well done girls.

Emily competed in the U12 level D competition.

On her first piece she performed her first back somersault on floor with ease and confidence. Unfortunately she sprained her ankle in the vault warmup. She battled on competing her first upstarts on bars and sticking her backwards element on beam. Emily handled the situation with maturity and determination. Achieving her personal targets despite her injury.
