Zinc Classic Challenge Team Championships

The Zinc Junior team had fantastic team spirit. Working together moving equipment in warmup to save every minute, encouraging each other and celebrating every performance as a team.

Romilly performed with such confidence and difficult choreography. Performing her first back somersault on floor and first upstart in competition which she linked to a squat on. Such progress Romilly, to place 22nd out of 74 gymnasts.

Evie competed with consistency and maturity. Performing her first cartwheel on beam and upstart squat on. Playing an important part for the team with strong scores on all 4 apparatus to place 11th overall.

Beth working so hard through a month of knee exercises to make taking part possible. She smiled her way through floor to place 6th , a super 3rd place on bars. Securing 9th place overall. Excellent Beth. All those exercises and stretches paid off.

Alice flew like a ruler on vault to place 5th, performed her first somersault on floor to place 7th . Determined on bars with her first upstart squat on. Achieving an amazing 4th overall

Maisie, what a super competition for you. Placing 10th on vault, 1st on bars, 8th on beam and 11th on floor. To achieve an awesome 2nd position overall.

The team was praised for their individual and creative choreography on beam.

A silver team medal, a very special achievement, well done!

 

The Zinc Senior team only had 4 members, but this wasn’t going to stop the gymnasts from showing what they could do.

Anna placed 11th on bars and performed two somersaults on floor.

Chloe competed for the first time this year with strong somersaults and elegance on floor.

Isla had a really good competition, placing an excellent 2nd on beam and 14th overall.

Mia had a super day placing 3rd on bars and a bouncy 8th on floor to place an amazing 4th overall.

With the potential to medal the team placed a strong 6th place. Well done team Wetherby
