Pewter Team Regional Championships

Senior Team

Every gymnast played their part. Working as a team, thinking like a team, achieving the bronze medal as a team.

Leyla’s first competition, she did the preparation learning the routines and polishing skills. Performing without large error to place 17th overall. Top 20 in your first competition well Done Leyla.

Imogen performed a flying vault to place 7th on this piece, consistent reliable performances on all apparatus to place 15th overall.

Madeleine was confident and tidy to place 6th on the beam and 6th on floor. Doing her best for the team to place 12th overall.

Sophie placed 9th on bars with good tension and casts, 4th on floor with a precise performance and bringing in great scores for the team to place 11th overall.

Lucy flew like an arrow on vault to Place 7th on this piece, placed 10th on beam with a precise and steady routine. In her first competition representing Wetherby placed 10th overall.

Well Done Nichola, thank you for supporting me and what a fantastic team result.

 

Junior Team

Starting on beam, which is a tough piece to start on, with the whole team playing their part and staying on. Siana showed excellent determination and willpower to stick her first handstand on the beam in competition. Alyssia lifted high to achieve the third highest score on this apparatus in the competition.

Moving to floor the team worked well together during warm up. Tilly performed mature artistry which told a story to match the music. Izzy struck beautiful and elegant lines in her floor routine.

Evelyn stepped out and stepped up from participation. Milena and Alyssia performed their first roundoff flics. The whole team hit their handstands and performed with style and confidence.

Vault next, the girls ran with determination, and flew tight.

To the last piece, Bars. All the gymnasts performed 3 strong routines in warm up. Alyssia performed a super bar routine to receive the highest score on this apparatus.

The team placed 6th in their first team competition achieving a strong stepping stone for the future.

Thank you to Sharon for judging and thank you to Mrs Nobbs for her coaching and running a very smooth event. 358 gymnasts performing 4 apparatus and the event finished early both days.
